Update on Jerry

Today we had some good news: Jerry is progressing well, and will be returning home to Albuquerque this weekend.

Unfortunately, he won't be up to travel in time for the AYE Conference.

We're sad that Jerry won't be with us, and the rest of the Host Team and our guest presenters still anticipate a wonderful conference. Jerry's sessions will go on as scheduled, with his co-leads stepping up to facilitate.

If you have questions, feel free to contact one of the Host Team.

I want it, I have it, I hate it!

The requirements process ensures that we deliver what the clients want. It's a nice theory. With her characteristic insight, Naomi Karten shares I want it, I have it, I hate it! and shows why clients may not know what they want until they get what they've asked for.

What's New for the Week of October 2, 2006

Here's our host news this week:

Esther is still in Europe.

After the doctor removes her stitches, Johanna will be giving a talk
about moving towards more agile requirements at the Rhode Island chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysts. After that excitement, she'll settle down to more book writing.

After a couple of consulting assignments, Jerry will be leaving this
week for a long writers' retreat, and will probably be out of reach of email.

Steve made significant progress on a major revision to his website. After scratching a cornea on Sunday, he is seeing the world differently. He continues to works as much as he can this week on his website and blogs.
